WELCOME

As Chair of APD Support UK and author of two books on APD and several articles, I started this blog in the hope to further raise awareness of Auditory Processing Disorder/APD and other disabilities. Blog posts will contain information on diagnosis, coping strategies and a range of other topics, with useful links. They will discuss various aspects of life with APD, plus discussion of some of the many other conditions that can co-exist alongside APD, compounding its effects (and vice versa). It is set out in a less formal way than on my APD Support UK website, with added personal reflection on some of the lesser known effects and considerations.

Topics might also include the effects of APD on people of all ages, as well as the vital acceptance and support needed from their family and friends, also from colleagues, employers, education and other professionals, and the wider community

Please visit my APD Support UK website for further information on APD. https://apdsupportuk.yolasite.com/online-support.php
